I often see the mistrust felt in the community towards Law Enforcement when listening to the concerns of community members. At the end of the day I found myself asking how I could help be the voice for the community's, so their concerns could be heard as we rebuild trust between law enforcement and the community to promote safety for everyone.
I decided the best way for me to be that voice was to become a leader with the Precinct 2 Constables Office, to better serve and protect the community. With the support of my family, I decided to seek election to the office of the Bexar County Precinct 2 Constable. I sought to become the voice of all community members as a strong compassionate leader in Bexar County, and in 2017 I was elected as the first female Hispanic Bexar County Constable in Precinct 2.
